[15a-211-1] Generation of terahertz-wave OFDM signal using optical technology

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), which utilizes orthogonal sub-carrier channels whose symbol rates are equal to their frequency spacing, is effective in increasing the spectral efficiency of communication. I am carrying out investigation of terahertz (THz)-wave OFDM communication based on the optical technology with a view to increasing the spectral efficiency, decreasing the symbol rate of each sub-carrier channel, and realizing an adaptive method to assign sub-carrier channels to users. In the presentation, I report preliminary experimental results including the generation of terahertz-wave OFDM signal using photo-mixing.
