The dynamic motion of trimethylphosphine (TMP) adsorbates were observed using STM techniques under various tunneling conditions to find a mechanism to manipulate and control the TMP movement. It was noted that at low positive bias conditions the TMP adsorbates move more frequently. However, changes in tunneling current have not affected the dynamic motion. Involvement of TMP-Si antibonding orbital in the tunneling process may be the reason for enhanced TMP movement at lower bias conditions.
