We grew n-type Czochralski (CZ) silicon crystals from the melt in liquinert crucibles (LCZ growth). The lifetime values of LCZ silicon are three times longer that those of conventional silicon and almost equal to those of MCZ silicon. This is because the impurities (oxygen, carbon and metals) are reduced lower than those of conventinal CZ silicon due to the non-wetable property of inner surface of liquinert crucibles.
