[15p-213-7] Thermal-Lens-Free Active Mirror Lasers

Towards the high quality beam generation of the high rep rate and high average power solid state lasers available to the coherent beam combining technique, the thermal lens control technique of active mirror lasers has been investigated. Tow kinds of control technique, the partial bottom insulation and additive heating from the edge controled the thermal flow from the central pump area to outer thermo capacity zone. The partial bottom isolation and additive heat control induced drastic reduction of thermal-induced phase shift to the level of less than 0.1%. 1000 times reduction for full area of active mirror is possible in this active-controled active gain laser.
