The intermixed donor/acceptor region in conjugated polymer blends composed of a poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT, donor) and a fluorene-based copolymer (PF12TBT, acceptor) was visualized by electrical characterization via C-AFM measurements. The evolving features of the intermixed region accounted for the temperature dependence of the photovoltaic properties of the P3HT/PF12TBT blend solar cells.
