Keywords:Liquid crystal device, Cylindrical vector beam, Elliptic polarization

The shape of focal spot depends on the distribution of polarization and phase shift in the cross section of the laser beam. We propose a liquid crystal device which generate arbitrary polarization represented by Jones vector. The device provides many functions to optical equipments predicted theoretically by optical calculation, and generates correct focal spot even when the beam is focused in birefringence medium. The device is manufactured at a low cost and easy to install in the existing equipments in factories and laboratories.
