We develop novel laser microscopy that shows higher spatial resolution by enhancing the detection efficiency of the scattered signals induced by the longitudinal electric field at the focus. The enhancement of the detection efficiency is achieved by the manipulation of the polarization distribution of a scattered signal. In this method, however, side-lobes also appear around the image of particles, causing the artifact in the resultant image. Therefore, in this study, we modify our setup to reduce the side-lobe generation and evaluate its imaging performance experimentally.
