[15p-312-5] Edge enhanced imaging of specimens achieved by radial Hilbert transformation

Imaging microscopy using a Spiral Fresnel zone plate as the lens produces a wave front at the image plane which reflects the radial Hilbert transform of complex transmissivity of a specimen. It reflects the radial differentiation of the complex transmissivity of specimen. We have succeeded in confirming the edge enhancement effect of specimens using hard x-rays for the first time. Especially, phase sensitive edge enhancement will become effective in hard x-ray region. The authors expect that the combined use of spectroscopy with this observation will help ellucidating the functions and dynamics of domain walls or biological interfaces.
