Nanowire-quantum dot lasers have been recently attracted much attention as an ultra-small, highly efficient coherent light source. We have so far demonstrated optically-pumped lasing oscillation in a single GaAs nanowire with quantum dots. In this presentation, we propose and establish the scheme to embed the NWQD lasers into polydimethlsiloxane membranes for application in NW-based flexible nanodevices and demonstrate lasing oscillation of NW cavities with QDs on flexible subtrates operating at 10 K.
