[15p-501-15] Modeling synchronization of spin torque oscillators through spin Hall magnetoresistance

Tomohiro Taniguchi1 (1.AIST)

Keywords:spin Hall magnetoresistance

Synchronization of spin torque oscillators is an exciting topic to enhance the emission power and to extend the technology to new practical devices such as bio-insipired computing. In this talk, we investigate the synchronization excited through spin Hall magnetoresistance (SMR). SMR originates from the charge-spin conversion by the direct and inverse spin Halll effect. When another ferromagnet is placed onto the ferromagnetic/nonmagnetic bilayer, the current generated through SMR is converted to spin current again, and excites spin torque on this additional ferromagnet, resulting in the excitiation of synchronized dynamics.
