The voltage-induced manipulation of magnetic properties, including the modulation of coercively or the magnetization switching, has been attracting intense research interests. Recently, excitation of spin waves with the voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy (VCMA) has been reported as a promising candidate for a novel information carrier with ultimately low power consumption. The voltage induced spatially confined magnetic excitation is also suitable for ultimate downsizing of various spin wave (SW) devices. In the present study, structural size effects in the SWs, excited with the VCMA, have been numerically studied for nanowires with perpendicular anisotropy. The bias field effect on the SW resonance property is also focused, considering the application to reconfigurable or field programmable functionality.
