[15p-514-14] Magnetic Properties and Electronic Structure of Hydrogen-Substituted LaMnAsO
Keywords:Hydride Ion, Ferromagnetism, oxypnictide
We performed magnetic, specific heat and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) measurements of ferromagnetic LaMnAsO0.37H0.63. The temperature dependence of saturation magnetic moment and entropy change demonstrated the 3-dimentional ferromagnetic transition at 218 K via 2nd order transition. While the results of density functional theory calculation implied that the antiferromagnetic (AFM) state is rather stable than ferromagnetic (FM) state in the hydrogen substituted LaMnAsO, the energy difference between AFM and FM states decreases with hydrogen content indicating stabilization of FM state. The magnetic moment per Mn atom calculated for FM state is 1.9μB, which agrees with experimental value (1.7 μB). The line shape of UPS spectrum was explained by using calculated electron density of state for FM state.
