ZnO is a promising for transparent thermoelectric material due to the wide energy bandgap and the high power factor(S2σ), where S is seebeck coefficient and σ is electrical conductivity. However, the thermoelectric properties are still poor to use in the industrial field. Therefore, it is important to increase S2σ and decrease thermal conductivity (k). In our previous work, we succeeded to fabricate the embedded-ZnO nanowire structures and increase S2σ twice larger than ZnO films (containg no nanowire). In this work, we investigate the effect of nanowire on electrical conduction and elucidate the mechanism of increased S2σ.
