[15p-F201-2] Surface treatment effect on CZTSe solar cells

We report on an improvement of Voc loss, which is a critical issue, by surface treatments. The surface treatments, environmental annealing, sulfur plasma treatment, and oxygen plasma treatment were conducted after growth and thermal treatments of Cu₂ZnSnSe₄ thin films. The effects were evaluated by time-resolved photoluminescence and solar cell properties. As a result, the time constant which originates from surface recombination and Voc were found to improve by the oxygen plasma treatments.
