We have realized efficient light trapping for crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells coupled with solar pumped lasers emitting at 1.06 um. We designed combinations of multi-layered interference filters and diffuse reflectors on the front/back surfaces for stationary systems and remote power supply to mobile objects, and achieved absorbance higher than 80% with 50 um-thick cells. The thinner cells eliminate detrimental impacts of the series resistance and Auger recombination.
