Colloidal quantum dots are one of the promising photovoltaic materials. This is partly because the bandgap tunability allows us to absorb photon energy in a wide range of the solar spectrum. Here we construct the solar cells using PbS colloidal quantum dots showing the first exciton absorption in the short-wavelength infrared region, and study their solar cell performance.
