We aspire the application for drug screening on membrane proteins at sub-nm resolution with using artificial lipid bilayer. Supported lipid bilayer (SLB) formed on the solid substrates were useful platform for reconstruction of membrane proteins because molecular structure and dynamics of membrane proteins can be investigated via physico-chemical observation such as atomic force microscopy (AFM). While, direct interaction between the SLB and the underlying substrates significantly prevent analyses of native membrane protein. The decreasing of the interaction between the SLB and substrate should be achieved before incorporation into the SLB. In this study, we aim the formation of self-assembled monolayer (SAM) which act as cushion between SLB and atomically flat mica surface.
