Keywords:Photodegradation, Accelerated Test, Reliability

By conducting acceleration tests including UV irradiation to the c-Si PV modules with various types of encapsulants and backsheet materials, it was shown that the selection of components or materials for c-Si PV module is critically important for the points of UV degradations, both in module performance and insulation performance of backsheet. The relationship between material degradation by UV irradiation and module/insulation performance will also be discussed from the results of chemical analysis of modules materials.
