[16p-302-4] Property improvement of polymer semiconductor
Keywords:Organic semiconductor
Organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) devices have attracted much attention in viewpoint of printed-electronics that will realize inexpensive and flexible devices in the near future. Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) has investigated organic semiconductors (OSC) for more than a decade, and focuses recently on development of donor/acceptor (DA) type polymer semiconductors through R&D alliance with University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). MCC and UCSB established Mitsubishi Chemical Center for Advanced Materials (MC-CAM) on the UCSB campus, and have worked cooperatively on various research initiatives including OSC materials and OTFT devices. I would like to introduce recent progress about our efforts on the development of polymer semiconductors that combine some features such as high carrier mobility, printability and heat resistance.
