It is one of the problems for application of REBa2Cu3Oy (REBCO) wires that the critical current density Jc depends on the magnetic field angle. Therefore, hybrid artificial pinning centers (APCs) with various shaped APCs are introduced into REBCO wires to improve the anisotropy of Jc. In this research, we improved the anisotropy of Jc by introducing the hybrid APCs which combines BHO particle as the 3D APCs and BHO layer as the 2D APCs into SmBa2Cu3Oy thin films.
