It is one of the problems for application of REBa2Cu3O_y (REBCO) wires that the critical current density J_c depends on the magnetic field angle. Therefore, hybrid artificial pinning centers (APCs) with various shaped APCs are introduced into REBCO wires to improve the anisotropy of J_c. In this research, we improved the anisotropy of J_c by introducing the hybrid APCs which combines BHO particle as the 3D APCs and BHO layer as the 2D APCs into SmBa₂Cu₃O_y thin films.
