[16p-418-14] Average and standard deviation of fog particle size measured by simple particle-size-measurement

Measurement of fine-particle-size is important in spray systems, Minimum Quantity Lubrication, and weather observation. Introducing the recent progress of imaging-technique, the authors proposed the new portable measurement system. Since the proposed portable measurement system has the advantage in short time resolution, the authors can approach the ideal goal of observing each particle. The authors observed fogs by the proposed system with time resolution of 33ms and calculated the average and standard deviation of particle-size and also discussed the particle-size distribution.
