The authors have proposed a new refractive index measurement method by the oblique incident light to the silicon-on-insulator (SOI) photodiode with gold surface plasmon (SP) antenna. In this report, the observation of biomolecular interactions of avidin-biotin couplings immobilized on gold SP antenna corresponding to the effectively refractive index change is introduced from the response of SOI photodiode for the first time.
