[16p-P13-15] Nanoscale nonlinear optics by ultrafast SPP nanofocusing pulses

Nanofocusing of SPP pulses with a tapered metal tip can realize strong confinement of electromagnetic waves at an apex with a few tens nm diameter. Especially, we can realize ultrafast optical excitation in nm scale with SPP pulses excited by femtosecond laser pulses. In this work, we demonstrated two kinds of nonlinear spectroscopy (CARS and FWM) using the ultrafast SPP pulses at the apex.
