[16p-P14-2] An all-optical MZI device with photo-excitation of magnetization

We are developing all-optical devices with the function of spin memory utilizing photo-excited precession of magnetization. This operates by optically modulating the magnetization state of the memory magnetic body incorporated in the Mach-Zehnder interferometer. In this study, the nonreciprocal phase shift amount by the Co / Pd multilayers of the memory part was optimized from the structural parameters. We estimated the time evolution of the change of the output light of all optical devices due to the change of magnetization state by the simulation.
