Using DNA-functionalized nanoparticles (DNA-NP), various three-dimensional DNA-NP superlattices have already been assembled in these days. However, DNA-NP superlattices are stable in the solution and the superlattices collapse by drying. In order to maintain the symmetry outside the solution, the methods for stabilizing DNA by embedding silica or resin have been developed. We succeeded that the drying of DNA-NP superlattices with unchangeable symmetry by adjusting nanoparticle size and the length of DNA shell. As a result, the fabrication of Wulff polyhedral colloidal crystal consisted of DNA and nanoparticles was realized. The colloidal crystals were stable outside the solution.
