Bulk heterojunction system is the most promising structure in organic solar cells. This system can achieve high charge generation efficiency at donor-acceptor interfaces. In this system, however, we cannot avoid serious photovoltage loss from absorved photon energy. To solve this problem, we are applying charge-transfer absorption for organic solar cells application. In this report, preparation and characterization of charge-transfer complex nanocrystals and prospective study on this CT nanocrystals for organic solar cells will be discussed.
