[17a-P4-16] n-Type Thermoelectric Properties of Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes
Keywords:thermoelectric conversion
Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are p-type in air, and they can convert to n-type after the treatment of proper electron donors. However, in general, n-type SWNTs immediately degrade in air. Recently, the encapsulation of donor molecules has been proposed in order to obtain the stable n-type composites. Due to a difficulty in the desorption of dopants, the encapsulation of dopants in SWNTs is desirable for the significant stabilization of the n-type composites.
In this work, we examine the encapsulation of phosphine derivatives into SWNTs, and its effect on the n-type thermoelectric properties.
