▲ [17p-414-12] Observation of Photon Statistics in Two-Photon Interference for Continuous Variables
Keywords:photon statistics, two-photon interference, continuous variables
We report the observation of photon bunching and anti-bunching by interfering a squeezed state and a coherent state on a beam splitter and detecting with a homodyne detection. The photon statistics is calculated from a set of measured quadrature amplitudes, which were obtained by two homodyne detection systems. The nonclassical effect of photon anti-bunching appears when an amplitude squeezed vacuum state acts as one of interference sources. On the other hand, the photon bunching effect occurs when a phase squeezed vacuum state is employed.
