Keywords:Chip-scale atomic clocks

Chip scale atomic clock have atractted attension as small and low-power atomic clocks, and it use a quantum interference phenomenon called Coherent Population Trapping (CPT) resonance to observe quantum transitions. In this study, we study a detection method focusing on the phase of CPT resonance for the aim of improving the S / N ratio of CPT resonance with both small size and low power consumption. As a result, it is shown that the phase modulation method can obtain much faster responsiveness than the conventional method.
