NICT airborne vegetation lidar was developed to use for demonstration of the concept and algorithm study of spaceborne lidar. The output beam of Nd:YAG laser is expanded to 0.6 degree. Each of 4 circular Si-APD detectors has a FOV of 0.2 degree with separation of 0.27 degree. Canopy height and topographic slope should be derived from the data obtained by the airborne experiment in November, 2016.
