[18p-144-4] The latest applications of TOF-SIMS for medicine and biology

Mitsutoshi Setou1,2 (1.Hamamatsu Univ. Sch. Med., 2.Int. Mass Imaging Center)

Keywords:imaging mass spectrometry, time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry

Imaging mass spectrometry is the novel technology combining mass spectrometry with microscopy and it can visualize the distributions of several biomolecules with high spatial resolution. Today, I'd like to talk about biological and medical applications of "TOF-SIMS" which is one of imaging mass spectrometry techniques and enables visualization of molecular distribution with sub-micron spatial resolution. I also want to introduce our "International mass imaging center" and PRESTO "Creating the foundation of life science using quantum technology"
