[18p-144-7] Bio-imaging with an enhanced fluorescence on the plasmonic chip

Keiko Tawa1,2 (1.Kwansei Gakuin Univ., 2.AIST)

Keywords:Surface Plasmon Resonance, Fluorescence microscopy, Cell imaging

Plasmonic chip is the substrate with a wavelength-scale grating covered with a silver or a gold film. The fluorescence enhanced by the grating-coupled surface plasmon resonance is detected on the plasmoonic chip with fluorescence microscope. Fluorescence image of membrane proteins in a breast cancer cell was observed on the plasmonic chip and the distribution of membrane proteins which is not obtained on the cover glass can be obtained on the plasmonic chip. Application of a plasmonic chip to bio-imaging will be introduced.
