Keywords:perovskite lead-halides

A class of perovskite lead-halides has demonstrated an impressive energy conversion efficiency when incorporated in a photovoltaic (PV) device as the light absorpbing carrier generating material. Several years of intensive research resulted in an efficiency exceeding 22%. However, despite the vast amount of data accumulated through the course of the research, the comprehensive interpretation of the data is still lacking, not to mention the understanding the mechanism of the high efficiency. In this talk, we will enumerate what we think are the culprits and their significance in the solid state physics.
