A vibration energy harvesters (VEHs) including an electret which has semi-permanent electric polarization can generate electrical power from vibration. But there are problems such as low output power due to low surface charge density of the electret, complex charging process for forming electret, and so on. In order to solve these problems, an electret using orientation polarization of organic molecules is proposed in this report. We developed VEH model devices including the electret composed of materials for organic light-emitting diodes, and confirmed the power generation of the device. We believe that the application of orientation polarization of organic materials leads to a realization of high-power VEHs with simple fabrication process.
