[18p-231C-1] Development of short pulsed electron gun using femtosecond pulsed laser

Keywords:short pulsed electron gun

Since the short pulse electron gun has time resolution, various engineering applications are expected. It has been reported that pulsed electrons with good emittance can be obtained by irradiating the FE chip with short laser pulses. We developed a short pulse electron gun using a 4th harmonic wave of a femtosecond laser beam with a wavelength of 1040 nm as a light source for the FE chip with a work function of 2.8 eV.
