Ants have a rough compas that references geomagnetic field, so they can go and return between their nest and food (Homing instinct). They chase others via pheromone(Chasing). And they are always fluctuating, so they occasionally explore a new shorter path (Fluctuating). Moreover the pheromone evaporates over time (Evaporating). All these factors above result in the ants intelligence of finding the shortest path. We are trying to implement its intelligence into micro size by physically mimicking one instinct and three factors.
