[18p-PA1-10] Three layer structured digital micro fluidic system using SAW

In medical and biotechnology fields, development of devices capable of controlling and measuring the movement of droplets to compact and integrate chemical reactions and sensors is required. In this paper we used surface acoustic wave (SAW) for droplets transport and interdigital electrode (IDE) sensor for measurement. Disposable devices are needed in the biotechnology field. Therefore, droplets transportation, mixing and measurement were carried out using digital micro fluidic system with three-layer structure of cover glass / liquid layer / piezoelectric substrate.
