Keywords:organic thin film transistor

For practical application of organic thin film transistors (TFTs), reduction of contact resistance is indispensable. The contact resistance is caused by the energy difference between the work function of the drain/source electrodes and the HOMO or LUMO level of the organic layers. In this study, we focused on regioisomers of fluorobenzenethiol (FBT) which have different substitution positions of fluorine groups. We report the control of work function of gold electrode modified with regioisomer of FBTs and its application to organic TFTs.
