[18p-PB3-53] Evaluation of Oxidation Reaction of Quinone on Graphene
Keywords:Direct-type Fuel Cell, anode catalyst, hydroquinone
We evaluate catalytic activity of graphene, one of the nanocarbons, for oxidation reaction of hydrogen carrier molecule such as hydroquinone and investigate the relationship between graphene structure and its catalytic activity. We show that reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has higher activity than graphene oxide (GO) because rGO has higher conductivity than GO as well as oxygen functional groups on GO suppress the reaction of hydroquinone on the GO surface.
