[19a-223-1] Technical aspect of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry and its future prospect

Hiroyuki Matsuzaki1 (1.Univ. Tokyo)

Keywords:Accelerator Mass Spectrometry, Isobar separation, Negative Ion

Important points in Accelerator Mass Spectrometry are the ion acceleration and the negative ionization. The former makes possible the use of the interaction between ion and materials. Today, technical aspect related with negative ion seems to be paid more attention, including choosing and making of suitable target chemical form, efficient ionization technique, and re-neutralization of negative ion by interaction with laser or chemical reaction.
