Keywords:magnetization dynamics

We studied photo-induced transient state of perpendicularly magnetized FePt thin films from the point of view of element dependence by time-resolved measurements. We reported the results of Pt L edge time-resolved X-ray mangetic circular dichroism (XMCD) in the last JSAP meeting. In addition to XMCD, we cariied out time resolved Kerr effect measurement under the same experimental condition. We will discuss element dependence of magnetization dynamics by comparison of these experiments.
