[19a-PA2-2] Behavior of complex refractive index less than unity in a subwavelength-in-diameter silver pipe in visible light

The complex refractive index of a silver pipe, which is around 390 nm in inner-diameter and around 490 nm in outer-diameter, has been determined. The absolute value less than unity of the index measured immediately after fabrication of the sample has changed to the value larger than unity measured on the following day after fabrication of the sample.
