The Advancing Science Workshop was established in Nagoya 15 years ago as a volunteer activity at Nagoya City Science Museum, aiming at opening a series of lectures encouraging high school students and citizens to enjoy “science” with continuing interests. At present, our base was moved to Nagoya University.
The main topic and the lecturer for the workshop have been determined each time through the discussion at the meeting among all staff of the workshop. We are tryning to utilize self-constructed experimental equipments by the students at the workshop as possible. The age composition of the workshop students has recently been extended to increase the attendance of the junior high school students. as a result, the workshop has further been activated.
