Keywords:thin film encapsulation (TFE), solution process, organic light emitting diode (OLED)

PDMS/SiOx organic/inorganic multilayer can be solution processed at room temperature by employing photochemical partial conversion of spin-coated PDMS to SiOx under VUV irradiation with a high photon energy (7.2 eV). Such a multilayer can be directly processed onto organic light emitting diodes as an effective thin film encapsulation compatible with their roll-to-roll manufacturing.
