In the previous report, we reported characteristics of EL device using double heterostructure of (thiophene/phenylene) co-oligomer (TPCO). By using TPCO with a cyano group (CN) as a substituent at both ends of the molecule, it was utilized that the major axis of the molecule was arranged almost horizontally on the substrate and the carrier injection characteristic to π orbitals became good. It can realize optical coupling by a surface emission type microresonator (VCSEL) in the future, so it is suitable for future organic semiconductor laser development. In this report, we investigated the EL characteristics of evaporated films for the purpose of optimizing TPCO double heterostructures. Based on the result, the optimal design of the double heterostructure in this case is reported.
