[19p-146-8] Reflectance of Reflective Photonic Crystal on P-contact Layer of AlGaN Deep-UV LED

In this study, we investigate the reflectance of reflective photonic crystal (PhC) on p-contact layer of AlGaN-based deep-UV LED. Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) adopting constant k method was utilized for efficient calculation of periodic PhC structure. Calculated average reflectance considering dipole power distribution showed light-extraction efficiency (LEE) can increase by adopting appropriate PhC structure under p-electrode.
