Contribution of stimulation of macrophage secretion for the change of intercellular adhesion strength of two cancer cells was measured by using atomic force microscopy. In results, the intercellular adhesion forces increased by the stimulation, and in addition, Young's modulus decreased and invasive capacity increased. Moreover, expression of plakoglobin, which is a molecule composed of desmosome junction, increased in cancer cells.
