The operation of the Kyoto University Research Reactor (KUR) was restarted in August 2017 after three years and three months under the new safety requirement formed by the dedicated regulatory institution, the Nuclear Regulation Authority. The contents of safety counterplan are shown in the lecture. Moreover, the stratages to improve the experimental facilities and the development of human resources are also introduced.
