Although microparticles are widely used in medicines and cosmetics, their influence on living organisms and environments have not been fully understood. There has been a great demand for a high-throughput method to analyze the chemical property of each microparticle. While Raman spectroscopy is a promising way to investigate molecular structural information in a label-free manner, its application to large-scale particle analysis has been limited due to its low signal intensity, and consequently, low throughput. In this study, we report the development of a label-free, high-throughput flow particle analyzer based on dual-comb coherent Raman spectrometer.
